Professor of Medicine, Medical Director of Respiratory Care Services, and Chief of Clinical Services in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the Duke University Medical Center. Dr. MacInytre is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care Medicine. He is a fellow for the American College of Chest Physicians, member of the Laboratory Standards Committee at the American Thoracic Society, fellow for the American Association for Respiratory Care, chairman for the Medical Education and Research Committee at the American Lung Association, and a fellow for the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Allergy and Asthma Network, National Association of Medical Directors of Respiratory Care, and the American Lung Association. Dr. MacIntyre has written over ninety articles, dozens of editorials, forwards, and letters, and he is a contributing writer and author of nearly a hundred books and monographs.
